Songs for Harper Lee

The Songs for Harper Lee series developed from the idea that a body of work could be influenced by a work of literature. Artists such as Motherwell, Pollock, and Picasso have used literature as a reference for their paintings. I wanted to use a work that was not only familiar to Southerners but to everyone. The series, dating back to 2005, continues to evolve over time.
